A Home Made Name
Our name comes from the house number of our home — a place built, lived in, and passed down through generations. 14 NUMBER is an homage to people who preserve what matters: their objects, their spaces, and their stories.
We make solid-wood furniture that’s built to endure. Simple forms. Honest craft. No shortcuts.
A Home Made Name
Our name comes from the house number of our home — a place built, lived in, and passed down through generations. 14 NUMBER is an homage to people who preserve what matters: their objects, their spaces, and their stories.
Our Approach At 14 Number.
We design and build solid-wood furniture using traditional joinery and durable finishing techniques. Every piece is handcrafted in-house, from timber selection to final polish. We work with architects, designers, and homeowners who value material honesty and timeless construction over trends.
At 14 Number, we make furniture meant to be kept, repaired, and eventually passed on — just like the home that gave us our name.
We work primarily with solid wood, complemented by accents in stainless steel, aluminium, and glass.
Every surface is finished with premium systems — Shellac, Rubio Monocoat, Osmo Polyx, Odie’s Oil, or Fiddes — selected for durability, depth, and tactile warmth.
Our upholstery uses 100% cotton and linen fabrics developed in collaboration with local handlooms and artisans, grounding contemporary design in traditional craft.
What truly defines our studio is the way we build.
Each maker in our workshop goes through a two-month training process to develop what we call a chaal — a rhythm of precision and flow.
Once that rhythm is found, our team of foremen, cutters, turners, cabinet makers, assistants, and polishers work in concert, treating every joint and surface as a signature.
The result is furniture built with intent — pieces meant to endure, not just exist.
